Job summary

Blue Water Thinking, LLC seeks a skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to ensure the reliability, safety, and proper functioning of medical devices at the Hot Springs VA Medical Center. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, installations, safety inspections, and software repairs while coordinating with IT and cybersecurity teams.

The role requires a two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent, plus five years of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent.
• Demonstrated competency to perform operational verification procedures and planned maintenance.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on diverse medical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions following manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out incoming inspections of new equipment for safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure device security and patient data protection.
• Install, calibrate, and configure medical equipment per manufacturer instructions.
