Job description

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Network Tools Engineer. This qualified individual will become a Tools team member to support multiple tools within our program. This role is fully remote.

What will you do:

  1. Manage, troubleshoot, plan, and implement releases, patches, and upgrades.
  2. Update documentation.
  3. Manage change and incident tickets (create, update, close, resolve).
  4. Follow ITSM processes for task completion, installation, and validation.
  5. Work with Primary and Secondary Tools:

Primary Tools:

  • OpenText NNMi
  • OpenText Network Automation
  • SevOne NMS and DI
  • Vertiv DSView
  • BMC TrueServer Automation for installation of other agents utilizing automation jobs

Secondary Tools:

  • IBM License Metric Tool
  • Load Runner Enterprise
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience, or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • System administration experience for Windows, Solaris, and RHEL OS.
  • Scripting experience, e.g., .bat and .sh.
  • Strong investigation and troubleshooting skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with automation tools and managing jobs.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Java and Perl is a plus.
  • AWS Certification and related tools knowledge are a plus.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
