- Assist with tasks of classifications assigned
- Assess department and Company objectives to prioritize and schedule workloads, assign staff, and coordinate projects for timely completion
- Develop, document, and implement consistent practices, policies, and procedures
- Lead staff to achieve or exceed goals and performance targets
- Train, coach, and take corrective action to meet customer expectations and performance targets
- Monitor and evaluate staff goals and performance at least monthly
- Maintain a positive, safe, clean, and orderly work environment
- Identify workplace problems and take corrective action
- Report and investigate accidents or incidents and recommend actions to reduce future risk
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure appropriate safety training
- Assist with employee investigations and disciplinary action with Manager approval
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Manage department/work-group expenditures within budget limitations
- Audit assigned cash funds and inventory and report variances
- Post and monitor schedules, assign shifts, and manage vacation bids and requests
- Determine staffing levels, evaluate overtime needs, manage overtime lists, and reassign staff for absences
- Recruit or assist in recruiting qualified candidates
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible duties in a supervisory capacity
- At least one (1) year in a customer service or telecommunications industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must meet the minimum qualifications of positions reporting to the Lead or Foreman when performing their daily work
- Must meet the Minimum Qualifications of the main classification that regularly reports to the posted Lead or Foreman position
- Possess and maintain a valid Alaska Driver's License
- Some positions may require an Alaska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B, a valid Certificate of Medical Examination (Medical Card), and passing a Drug and Alcohol Background check
- Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
