Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking an experienced Network Technician to manage physical Central Office work and field tasks. You will support switching equipment, fiber and copper networks, and power systems, with overtime and weekend work during outages.

This role requires safety awareness, ability to work with customers and peers, and flexibility across shifts; you will be part of Brightspeed's effort to upgrade copper to fiber and deliver reliable internet.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with both inside and outside plant cabling practices.
• 3 to 5 years experience as a switch technician.
• Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to work well with both customers and fellow peers.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work all shifts as assigned including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

As a Brightspeed Network Technician you will be responsible for all aspects of working in the physical Central Office as well as in the field.
