Job summary

Brightspeed is seeking an experienced Network Technician to join our growing team in the Central Office environment. The role requires overtime and weekend work to ensure network reliability and service quality.

You will install and maintain fiber and copper networks, support switching equipment, generators, and transport networks, and work within the TIRKS system while coordinating with customers and peers. Hybrid/onsite options are available depending on position and needs.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with inside and outside plant cabling practices.
• Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
• Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to work well with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain all switching equipment in Central Offices.
• Keep all backup generators in optimum condition.
• Install, support, and maintain special circuits and work within the TIRKS system.
• Monitor and support all switch alarm activity.
• Install, support, and maintain fiber and copper networks.
• Support and maintain transport networks and central power platforms.

Brightspeed is looking for an experienced Network Technician to join our growing team! In this critical role as a Network Technician you will be responsible for all aspects of working in the physical Central Office.
As a Network Technician you will be required to work overtime and weekends.

As Network Technician Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Supporting and maintaining all switching equipment in Central Offices
• Keeping all backup generators in optimum condition
• Installing, supporting, and maintaining special circuits and being capable of working within the TIRKS system
• Monitoring and supporting all switch alarm activity
• Installing, supporting, and maintaining fiber and copper networks
• Supporting and maintaining transport networks and central power platforms
