Network Systems Manager

Job Locations: US-FL-Tampa

Company Overview:

By Light has an opening for a Network Systems Manager supporting the Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE) at MacDill AFB, FL. This is a mission-essential position requiring 8x5 standard work hours at the customer location, with on-call support as needed.

Responsibilities:
  1. Serve as the Tier III System Engineering Lead, reviewing new capabilities and assessing current capabilities for improvements supporting JCSE's enterprise infrastructure.
  2. Assist in identifying design objectives, technical specifications, performance requirements, and interoperability standards to ensure system design meets stakeholder needs.
  3. Provide hands-on systems engineering support to improve and maintain the enterprise infrastructure and support new system increments.
  4. Assess limitations, gaps, shortfalls, or end-of-support products needing resolution for critical C2.
  5. Enhance mission support and emerging technologies for more efficient enterprise operations.
  6. Support development, updates, and review of program/project Systems Engineering Plans (SEP), Information Support Plans (ISP), and Technology Readiness Assessments (TRA).
  7. Develop and review briefings, papers, and spreadsheets supporting these tasks.
  8. Coordinate internal and external working groups with JCSE stakeholders, attending modernization reviews and documenting needs and gaps.
  9. Support program/project management and technical synchronization related to cost, schedule, and performance.
  10. Ensure system design compliance with industry, DOD, cybersecurity standards, and best practices.
Required Experience/Qualifications:
  1. BS Degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  2. Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+).
  3. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
Special Requirements/Security Clearance:
  • Top Secret clearance is required.
