Quantum Sky is seeking a Network Systems Engineer Level III for a complex, multi-year AFRC IT services contract. You will maintain the technical infrastructure, perform patching, and handle first‑level support, with after-hours availability as needed.

The role requires 7+ years in network modernization or similar projects, DoD Secret clearance, and strong communications. Travel is minimal; telework may be possible based on client needs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing network modernization work or system projects of similar scope and complexity.
• Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot solutions across Windows, macOS, browsers, and diagnostic tools within secure networked environments.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL tools and the interfaces to integrate with software.
• Experience with system documentation and organization, and with current security practices in networks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with professional demeanor and ethics.
• Ability to present complex technical topics to varied audiences and obtain solutions.

Description

Quantum Skyis searching for a Network Systems Engineer Level III for a complex, multi-year contract to support the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Information Technology (IT) Services.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure as required to meet business needs with little or no supervision. This would include proactive software updates and patching as well as equipment and software refresh / maintenance.
• The System Administrator is also responsible for providing first level support and troubleshooting for incidents reported by system monitoring, change requests, users support tickets or networking with IT peers.
• It will be necessary to offer after hours support as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Recommend 7+ years of experience managing network modernization work or system projects of similar scope and complexity
• Ability to design, implement and troubleshoot solutions utilizing Microsoft Windows and Apple OS, various browsers, internet apps and computer diagnostic tools, MicroSoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Apple Suite, PeopleSoft Suite, Oracle and Unix, while adhering to all security protocols within a networked environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with relational database systems and SQL tools. Knowledge of and experience with the relationship between databases and other software and the interfaces necessary to facilitate a cohesive system.
• Knowledge of and experience with system documentation and organization.
• Knowledge of and experience with current technology and practices, including application and network security.
• Knowledge and experience with personal computer hardware, including processors, motherboards, memory, hard disks, optical drives and peripherals such as scanners, cameras, printers, external hard drives, etc.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with a professional demeanor and strong personal ethics. Strong time management skills, with the ability to take ownership and complete assigned tasks.
• Detail oriented, with strong problem solving skills and with the ability to anticipate and provide solutions that result in gained efficiencies in business processes and improved customer service.
• Ability to present and explain complex technical topics, problems and alternative solutions to interested parties of varying technical backgrounds.
• Have or obtain IAT Level II Certification

• Active DoD Secret clearance

• Minimal, less than 10%

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $72,000-$82,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
