Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Logistician IIIfor a complex, multi-year contract to support the 17th TRSS Training Support Squadron, Goodfellow AFB, Texas. This role shall be responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, tracking, and allocating IT assets, ensuring compliance with Air Force regulations, cybersecurity policies, and asset lifecycle management best practices.

The Subcontractor shall maintain IT asset accountability and operational readiness by ensuring accurate records, proper storage conditions, and seamless allocation of assets to IT Property Custodians (ITPCs) and IT Project Managers. The Subcontractor shall ensure that all asset management activities align with the organization’s local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for IT asset tracking and inventory management. The Subcontractor shall provide support for IT asset storage, inventory management, and coordination of asset distribution to ensure efficiency and compliant asset tracking. The Subcontractor shall perform duties related to IT asset receiving, inspection, documentation, storage, inventory control, and coordination with maintaining compliance with the organization’s ITAM, DPAS, and Air Force regulations.

Responsibilities:

• The Subcontractor shall conduct and maintain 100% accountability of IT assets in the storage and warehouses funded by the 17 TRG, categorized as follows:

• Sensitive IT Assets: Devices with persistent storage or IP network capability, such as laptops, desktops, tablets, thin clients (including zero clients), network-capable printers (SFP or MFP), servers, switches, network infrastructure, external drives or any asset deemed by the organization as accountable assets.
• Non-Sensitive IT Assets: Items without persistent storage or network capability, such as displays, cables, KVMs, adapters, display mounts, and all assets deemed by the organization as IT peripherals, and/or non-accountable assets.
• Utilize the centralized group-level hardware asset management system (e.g., ServiceNow) to:
• Ensure data consistency and accuracy for compliance and reporting.
• Improve efficiency in identifying asset needs, surpluses, and discrepancies.
• Ensure all IT asset records, including receiving, transfers, and excess are accurately documented in the centralized group-level tracking system, ServiceNow IT Requirements Management System (ITRMS) and/or ITAM.
• For IT Asset Receiving and Inspection:
• Receive and inspect all incoming IT assets for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders IAW 17 TRSS/TSO IT Logistics Readiness Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Maintain organized storage of IT assets in compliance with Air Force regulations.
• Ensure proper environmental and physical security measures for assets preservation.
• Categorize and label stored assets accurately for efficient identification and retrieval.
• Conduct regular inspections of stored assets to assess condition and readiness for deployment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for asset delivery and allocation from:

• Purchasers to track newly acquired assets and ensure proper delivery/shipment documentation.

• IT Property Custodians (ITPCs) for asset transfers to end-users to IT Project Managers to support project-specific IT asset allocation and deployment.

• Track asset movement from storage to its final destination, ensuring all transactions are properly documented in IT Requirements Management System (ITRMS).

• Work with purchasing teams to verify that delivered assets match procurement records before allocation.

• Maintain an up-to-date allocation log, ensuring full accountability and audit readiness for all stored IT assets.

• For Inventory Management and Accountability:

• Utilize ServiceNow ITAM to maintain an accurate IT asset inventory, including surplus/excess stock.

• Conduct periodic physical audits to verify stock levels and update records.

• Report and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain data accuracy.

• Develop and maintain a storage database, ensuring quick access to asset data.

• For Compliance and Audit Readiness:

• Ensure all IT assets comply with applicable Air Force and DoD regulations.

• Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.

• Address compliance gaps and recommend process improvements as needed.

• For Asset Lifecycle Support and Reporting:

• Monitor the lifecycle status of stored IT assets and coordinate timely allocation or disposal.

• Work with Cyber Support Management procurement teams, and ITPCs to replenish stocks to support operational requirements or retire assets based on lifecycle data.

• Generate reports on storage utilization, inventory levels, and asset allocation.

• For Warranty and Contractor Coordination:

• Track and manage warranties for all received and stored IT assets.

• Initiate repair or replacement requests for defective stored equipment.

• Maintain a warranty tracking log in ServiceNow ITAM for easy reference.

• For Adherence to Local SOPs and Policies:

• Follow the organization’s SOP for Logistics readiness and asset management, ensuring compliance with AF regulations and policies.

• Maintain consistency in asset documentation in accordance with approved processes.

• Participate in periodic reviews to ensure SOP adherence and recommend improvements.

• Document asset information in ServiceNow IT Requirements Management System (ITRMS) and/or ITAM, including:
• Serial number
• Warranty expiration date
• Make and model
• Storage Location
• Verify received assets against shipping manifests and procurement records.
• Report discrepancies, damaged equipment, or missing items to procurement team and Cyber Support Management (TSOF).

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least 5-7 years’ experience in logistics management with an ability to plan, coordinate, and evaluate complex logistics operations
• Coordinates with interagency and interdepartmental efforts
• Knowledge of Budgeting and Resource allocation
• Ability to solve problems and perform under pressure
• Ability to communicate via briefings and written words

Clearance:

• Active DoD Top Secret

Travel:

• Minimal, less than 10%

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $60,000-$70,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
