Job summary

Educational Federal Credit Union is seeking a Systems Engineer I – Networking to design, implement, and support its LAN/WAN, firewall, wireless, and VPN infrastructure across locations. The role balances networking duties with broader IT Infrastructure responsibilities to ensure resilience and security.

The position requires 5–7 years in systems engineering or related IT roles, with experience in enterprise firewalls, DNS/DHCP, and cloud networking.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and routing/switching.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN technologies, and wireless networking.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure across locations.
Configure and manage firewalls, VPN tunnels, NAT, IDS/IPS, and Zero Trust segmentation.
Monitor network performance, troubleshoot outages, and optimize wireless.
Lead SD-WAN initiatives and manage site-to-site connectivity.
Maintain NAC/802.1X policies and support compliance audits.
