Job summary

Prestige Talent is hiring a Network and Systems Administrator in Washington, USA to manage the daily operations of our network and computer systems. You will install, configure, and maintain network hardware, troubleshoot connectivity with Wireshark, monitor performance, and ensure backups and security.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Computer Science, 3+ years of experience, strong Windows Server expertise, virtualization experience, and solid English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Network and Systems Administrator experience.
• Proficient with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
• Strong Windows Server experience (2008-2016).
• Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Experience with backup solutions (Veeam/Backup Exec).
• Firewall configurations and security best practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and English communication.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless APs.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues using ping, traceroute and Wireshark.
• Monitor network performance for speed and availability.
• Manage user accounts and permissions on the network.
• Install and configure software on servers and workstations.
• Maintain server backups to ensure data security.
• Implement security measures to protect company data from cyber threats.
• Respond to system emergencies during off-hours as needed.
• Keep up-to-date with technology to recommend improvements.
