Job summary

BayInfotech seeks a Network Administrator to manage daily IT operations, support the eLab training environment, respond to work requests, monitor network status, install equipment, and escalate issues as needed.

The role requires 5 years of Perl scripting, VMware ESX/ESXi, Windows XP/7/8, Cisco LAN/WAN, SSL/VPN, and DNS/DHCP with routing protocols. Strong troubleshooting and production IT experience are essential.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on experience with VMware ESX/ESXi v4.1 to v5.1 and vMotion.
Must have 5 years of in-depth experience writing and modifying PERL scripts.
Must have solid hands-on experience with Windows XP/7/8.
Must have hands-on experience installing, configuring and supporting Cisco LAN/WAN platforms, SSL/VPN, Cisco Firewalls.
Experience with DNS/DHCP and routing protocols (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP).
Outstanding troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for daily operations of client eLab training environment and related data network.
Responds to work requests.
Monitors eLab network status and troubleshoots problems as required.
Assists with installation of new equipment and changes to existing equipment.
Acts as first level escalation of all network issues.
Works with internal resources and external vendors to resolve outstanding problems and issues.
Ensures adequate documentation and records are kept for all systems.
Must be flexible with work hours and willing to work some weekend and overtime as needed.
