Job summary

Oraman IT Solutions Inc. is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator to join our team in Canada and help manage customer infrastructure.

You will handle workstation/server issues, contribute to implementations, and enforce IT standards to ensure high user satisfaction. The role includes server administration (Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, VMware ESX/vSphere), remote access, disaster recovery, and ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or degree required.
• Fluent English.
• Experience setting up routers/firewalls with NAT policies and intrusion prevention.
• Experience with Windows Server and Server Services.
• Experience installing and configuring Wi-Fi access points/controllers.
• Office 365 suite experience.
• 3+ years at or above a second escalation tier.
• Experience designing and implementing IT infrastructure upgrades.
• Common sense problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle workstation/server issues or tasks for our customers.
• Contribute to implementations for customer infrastructure work.
• Implement IT standards and best practices to ensure high degree of end user satisfaction.
• Server Administration and Management: Setup, install, configure, administer, maintain, monitor and support physical and virtual servers including Windows 2008/2012/2016, VMware ESX / VSphere.
• Remote Access: Configure and maintain remote access technologies and access such as Remote Desktops Services, VPN, SSL VPNs, 3rd party connection apps.
• Ensure project deliverables match user’s expectations by proactively informing managers and users of progress/obstacles.
• Creation and review of event post-mortem / root cause analysis (RCA) documentation to ensure accurate and meaningful post-mortems are created. Review all post-mortem documents and implement procedures to minimize future service outages and shorten the duration.
• Manage customer disaster recovery systems.
