Job Description/Responsibilities
Desktop Support Technician - BuzzBallz

Bio: The Desktop Support Technician supports the IT infrastructure at BuzzBallz, including managing networking equipment, supporting end-user PCs and peripherals, and coordinating vendor activities. The role may involve assisting other locations and integrating new facilities.

  • Maintain and support BuzzBallz's PC and networking equipment, including replacing PCs annually, maintaining network wiring, access points, switches, and phone systems. Support hardware and software issues for end users and peripherals. Perform maintenance on servers, gateways, and switches. Conduct local server backups and test backup connectivity. Enforce IT policies and standards. Collaborate with IT support teams to deliver excellent customer service. Support additional Sazerac sites as needed.
  • Monitor systems with corporate software for alerts on system status and issues.
  • Ensure BuzzBallz systems are compliant and integrated into Sazerac's IT Business Continuation and Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Manage and evaluate system performance at the BuzzBallz facility, adhering to safety, food safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Identify training needs, develop training programs, and provide feedback for career development.
  • Work with KPI teams to develop scorecards, metrics, and reports on IT infrastructure support.
  • Use PDS and PPT tools for performance evaluation, planning, task management, and strategic alignment.
  • Provide technical assistance and infrastructure support to help the BuzzBallz team meet fiscal goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
Must
  • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Cisco OS knowledge
  • Quick learner of new systems/processes
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with technology and systems
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • 5+ years experience in Customer Service or Consumer Affairs
  • 5-10 years relevant experience
  • Experience with Telecommunication systems
  • Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 pounds
Preferred
  • Cisco Unity Telephone system experience
