Job summary

RISE Housing and Support Services is seeking a technology‑savvy Network Support Specialist to support IT needs, troubleshoot requests, and help plan upgrades. The role emphasizes independence, mentorship of interns, and a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• An Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant job experience responding to IT support needs.
• 1+ years of experience working with IT networks.
• Other combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Strong interpersonal boundaries.

• Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations.
• A valid NY State Driver’s License, a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program, and reliable transportation.

• Respond to agency IT support requests
• Identify risks and troubleshoot agency hardware, software, and network needs
• Support agency IT security efforts
• Participate in the development of IT procedures
• Assist in intern oversight and mentorship

A successful candidate will be experienced in supporting the technology needs of an organization, troubleshooting support requests, and making recommendations on upgrades and structures.

• A starting rate of $24 to $29 based on knowledge and experience
