Job summary

BayInfotech in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Networking Specialist with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting Wireless LAN solutions for SMEs and enterprises. You will optimize and troubleshoot WLAN setups and ensure reliable performance.

Responsibilities include implementing IEEE 802.11 standards, security features, RF tuning, and vendor-specific controller solutions, with emphasis on Cisco LWAPP/IOS-based deployments and robust documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years designing, deploying, configuring, supporting and administering Wireless LAN solutions.
• Experience with WLAN security, encryption standards and RF concepts.
• Familiarity with Cisco LWAPP/IOS based WLAN deployments is a plus.

Job description

Working knowledge of Networking industry, products and protocols with minimum 3 - 5 years experience designing, deploying, configuring, supporting, trouble shooting, debugging and administering some of the following Wireless LAN products, devices, and technologies for small, medium, large and/or enterprise businesses such as the following:

• Wireless Access Points
• Wireless Client Association
• Wireless Controllers
• CSMA/CA, RTS, CTS protocols
• RF transmission
• IEEE 802.11 standards (a,b,g), 802.1x Wi-Fi
• Ether channel
• Strong understanding of LAN Switching technologies (VLAN’s)
• WLAN Security in the areas of authentication, encryption, IDS/IPS using Radius, AAA authentication, EAP, LEAP, PEAP, PSK
• AES-CCMP encryption (AES- Counter w. CBC MAC Protocol)
