Job summary

A national recruiting company is seeking a Wireless LAN Engineer for a 6-month contract in Plano, Texas. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in Wireless LAN engineering and strong technical leadership skills. Proficiency with Cisco network solutions and WLAN technologies is critical for success in this role. Candidates must also hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Extensive experience with 802.11 WLAN Site Surveying and Cisco infrastructure tools is preferred. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in all aspects of Wireless LAN engineering or operational support.
• At least 2 years of experience in technical enterprise network leadership or projects.
• At least 1 year experience in 802.11 WLAN Site Surveying using software tools.
• At least 1 year of experience with Cisco technologies.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or Equivalent Certification or Military Experience
• At least 4 years of experience in all aspects of Wireless LAN engineering or 4 years of experience in all aspects of Wireless LAN operational support
• At least 2 years of experience in technical enterprise network leadership, projects OR infrastructure
• At least 1 year experience in 802.11 WLAN Site Surveying using software tools
• At least 1 year of experience with Cisco Guest Anchor solution.
• At least 1 year of Cisco Prime Infrastructure experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• CWNP Program certs a plus
• WLAN Vendor certs a plus
• 4 years of experience in technical leadership of medium to large enterprise networks or 4 years of experience in technical leadership of medium to large enterprise projects
• 4 years of experience in technical leadership of medium to large enterprise networks or 4 years of experience in technical leadership of medium to large enterprise infrastructure
• 5 years of experience in all aspects of Wireless LAN engineering or 5 years of experience in all aspects of Wireless LAN operational support
• 4 years of experience designing or supporting AAA identity based access solutions for WLAN deployments
• 4 years of experience in all technical aspects of Routing implementation support
• 4 years of experience in all technical aspects of Switching implementation support
• 4 years of experience with Cisco wireless technologies
• 4 years of experience with Aruba Networks technologies
• 4 years of experience with Cisco Meraki
• 4 years of experience with Cisco ISE.
• 4 years of experience with Cisco MSE.
