Provides intermediate computer systems and network support work. Work involves providing technical customer support for agency information technology systems. Work involves computer hardware and software technical support. Moves, adds, and changes equipment and monitoring of local area networks or wide area networks. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Requires travel approximately 30% of the time within the area of support which includes multiple office sites in the Texas Panhandle. Occasional out‑of‑town travel with overnight lodging is sometimes required. Occasional overtime and weekend work is sometimes required and may include some holidays when work duties dictate after‑hour support for projects such as network equipment upgrades, computer/site moves, natural disasters, and other IT related activities. Must be able to lift and move 30 lbs. of equipment.
Must have reliable transportation with the appropriate insurance coverage and a valid driver’s license from state of residence. Must be capable of transporting computer and network equipment in personal vehicle to complete work requests.
