A growing operator of mission-critical facilities is hiring a hands-on networking leader to build and run its infrastructure network function. You'll guide a team of engineers, set the direction for the networks that connect facility and operational systems, manage the department's budget, and keep senior leadership informed on progress, risk, and spending. The role is mostly remote, with periodic travel to sites for new deployments.

- Plan and manage the department budget, covering hardware refresh cycles, vendor spend, and long-term forecasting.
- Brief executives and the board on strategy, major projects, risks, and funding needs.
- Guide the architecture and rollout of wired, wireless, and perimeter network gear across new and existing sites.
- Take ownership of the networks behind building automation, power monitoring, security cameras, badge access, and environmental sensors.
- Set and enforce security standards such as network segmentation, controlled vendor access, and patch and vulnerability programs.
- Act as the escalation point during outages or security events, and maintain recovery and continuity plans.
- Keep diagrams, device standards, and equipment records accurate, and make sure changes follow a defined review process.
- Partner with construction, facilities, IT, security, and outside vendors from early build-out through go-live.
- Support audits and industry certifications, and stay current on new technology and emerging threats.
