Job summary

LanceSoft seeks a Network Software Engineer in Massachusetts to advance research, design and deployment of software for advanced network systems. The role emphasizes Linux networking, IP routing, and cloud integrations, with collaboration across security and cyber teams.

You will implement tests, analyze results, and help deploy scalable networking software in a team environment. Ideal candidates have strong Python/Bash skills, experience with containers and VM orchestration, and familiarity

Qualifications

Proficient in TCP/IP models and networking concepts.
Strong Linux networking experience and tooling.
Proficient in Python, Bash and git workflows.
Understanding of layer-2 switching and layer-3 routing.
Experience with containers and VM orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Responsibilities

Support development of virtual testbed infrastructure software and automation tooling.
Contribute to a test orchestration framework for VM management and network emulation.
Extend network emulation capabilities using Linux networking features.
Execute tests, collect data, debug anomalies, and analyze results.
Collaborate with cyber security teams to ensure compliance with security standards.
