Job summary

A leading independent tire distributor is seeking a Network and Security Specialist to manage and secure their multi-site network. You will maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement security tools in a fast-paced distribution environment. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of network and cybersecurity experience and strong knowledge of protocols like TCP/IP and DNS. Relevant certifications and experience with cloud platforms are preferred. This role is located in Lexington, Kentucky.

Qualifications

S&S Tire, a leading independent tire distributor, is seeking a Network and Security Specialist to support and secure our multi-site network across warehouse and office locations. This role ensures reliable connectivity, protects systems, and supports day-to-day operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless) across locations
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot network issues impacting operations
• Implement and manage security tools (firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS)
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents
• Support secure remote access and user access controls
• Assist with system integrations, backups, and disaster recovery

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of network and/or cybersecurity experience
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools
• Familiarity with Windows/Linux environments
• Experience in multi-site or distribution environments preferred

Preferred

• Certifications (Network+, Security+, CCNA)
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
