Job summary

ByteDance is seeking interns to design and develop enterprise-grade network security products for hyperscale environments, under guidance from senior engineers. You will help build AI-native security capabilities and assist in delivering secure solutions across ByteDance’s business units.

Applicants should be pursuing degrees in CS, Cybersecurity, or Networking, with strong knowledge of networks, data structures, and programming in C/Go/Python.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Undergraduate/Master’s/PhD in CS, Cybersecurity, Networking or related field.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, networks, and OS.
• Proficiency in C, Go, or Python.
• Exposure to LLM/Agent-based systems.
• Self-driven with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and development of network security products for hyperscale environments under senior guidance.
• Assist in building security capabilities for AI-native systems (LLM/Agent abuse prevention, risk detection, behavior analysis).
• Support delivering customized security solutions meeting compliance and security requirements.
• Take ownership of modules or features, participate in code reviews, contribute to documentation and testing.
