Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Network Security team responsible for secure-by-default networking across cloud regions and data centers. You will set the charter, align with infrastructure, and drive security from design to deployment.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape the security architecture, and ensure risk-based decisions align with company goals and research needs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of front line management experience
• Experience owning a security or infrastructure domain end to end
• Hands-on network security engineering in cloud and/or on-prem environments
• Threat modeling and risk assessment for networked systems
• Secured Kubernetes networking at scale or similar high-assurance environments

Responsibilities

• Own the network security roadmap: threat model from the management plane through Kubernetes and cloud interconnects, decide what to build, and deliver it
• Build secure-by-default ingress/egress, segmentation, private connectivity, and mTLS/service identity across environments
• Collaborate with infrastructure networking, cluster, and data center teams to bake security into network designs
• Provide visibility into traffic, detect boundary drift, and enable automated remediation where safe
• Hire, grow, and retain senior security software engineers; set engineering practices and career development
