Job summary

Saronic Technologies in Austin seeks an experienced Security Engineer to own end-to-end network security across enterprise, on-prem, cloud, and vessel communications in challenging, bandwidth-limited environments.

You will drive zero-trust adoption, design secure AWS architectures, manage cryptography and keys, and improve observability with the NOC teams to protect critical maritime operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network security experience.
• Experience designing/operating firewalls and VPN in production.
• Strong routing, BGP, TCP/UDP, TLS/PKI, and DNS fundamentals.
• AWS VPC design and controls experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise & on-prem network security including firewalls, segmentation, VPN, wireless, and device hardening.
• Design secure AWS network architecture with VPC segmentation and private connectivity.
• Secure vessel communications (LTE/5G, SATCOM, mesh) and manage cryptographic keys.
• Increase network observability and support the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Automate network security and segmentation-as-code.
