Job summary

FireMon is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join a hands-on software development team focused on firewall management solutions. You will collaborate with Product Management, Development, and other Engineers to install, support, and integrate security devices for internal R&D initiatives.

The role demands a BS in CS/IT/Engineering (or equivalent experience), 3+ years in network design and support, and deep knowledge of Cisco/Check Point/Juniper/Palo Alto.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in CS/IT/Engineering.
• 3+ years in network design and support.
• Experience with Cisco, Check Point, Juniper, Palo Alto.
• Strong networking and security expertise.
• Proficient in packet tracing and analysis.
• Experience with network security tools (firewalls, IPS, routers, switches, proxies).

Responsibilities

• Install and support firewall management solutions for internal R&D.
• Provide technical guidance during product development for vendor security devices.
• Build and maintain test labs and assist in software design.
• Create and execute test cases to validate code functionality.
• Serve as escalation point for device integration issues.
• Create internal knowledge base for configurations.
