Job summary

TEKsystems seeks a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise network across on-prem and cloud platforms. You will administer Palo Alto firewalls, manage security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and threat prevention while aligning standards across multiple locations in a hybrid environment.

The role requires leadership in network improvement initiatives, collaboration with carriers and vendors, and on-call coverage for critical incidents.

Qualifications

Job description

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, security, performance, and ongoing support of the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure. This position supports a hybrid environment spanning multiple locations and multiple cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The environment includes Cisco switches, Palo Alto firewalls, Meraki wireless access points, and Meraki SD-WAN appliances. The ideal candidate will serve as a senior technical resource, lead network improvement initiatives, and establish consistent networking and security standards across all locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform.) Design, implement and maintain network infrastructure across enterprise and cloud environments. Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, routing, threat prevention, logging and software upgrades. Lead the troubleshooting of complex network, wireless, firewall, internet, and cloud-connectivity issues including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop and maintain network diagrams, IP address documentation, configuration standards, support procedures, and disaster-recovery documentation. Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives. Coordinate with telecommunications carriers, managed service providers, hardware vendors, team members, and other third parties. Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical incidents and scheduled maintenance. Travel to company locations as needed to support implementations, upgrades, and complex troubleshooting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
