Job summary

TEKsystems seeks an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer to advance an evolving ACI environment and modernize WAN and data center infrastructure. The role focuses on core-to-edge switching, SD-WAN, and comprehensive documentation across multiple sites.

You will collaborate with Architects and a network team to design, implement, and support complex networks, with duties spanning troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and change control. Hybrid work in Thomasville, NC is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent education and experience.
• 7+ years of network engineering expertise supporting 100+ site WAN and LAN environment.
• 7+ years of experience with core, distribution, and access switching and routing technologies and datacenter technologies (MPLS, vPC, Etherchannel, BGP, OSPF, policy based routing).
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies and WAN communications including TCP/IP (routing and subnetting), QoS, MPLS, IPSec, etc.
• Understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact.
• Expertise in networking concepts.
• Experience implementing and supporting SD-WAN environments.
• Strong knowledge of Load Balancing and Global Server Load Balancing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting voice and video across the WAN.
• Experience using Visio or other tools for documentation.
• Strong organization and analytical skills.
• Detail oriented

Description

TEKsystems Logistics customer is looking for an experienced Enterprise Network Engineer to join their team. They have recently gone through a Data center decommission/transfer to COLO data center via Equinix where they put in Cisco ACI and did segmentation. This person will be responsible for continuing to manage and modernize their ACI environment. This organization has COLO in Ashburn and Chicago and have roughly 300 service centers.

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex communication networks within the organization. Primarily responsible for all aspects of switching hardware from core to network edge, including documentation, monitoring, troubleshooting and change control. Working with a team to perform system configurations and installations, system administration, and system security. Builds and maintains network (WAN, Data Center, and Core) and integrates with all enterprise systems.

Primary Responsibilities

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $175000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
