Enhances the quality of life for Credit Union West members and team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. The Network & Security Administrator II ensures the stable and secure operation of the organization's network and security infrastructure. This role includes configuring, maintaining, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links, as well as implementing and maintaining security measures. The administrator also analyzes and resolves end-user hardware and software issues, providing necessary training and support. This role involves more complex configurations, advanced troubleshooting, and higher-level security implementations. This position works closely with other IT teams to enhance network performance and security.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required. Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: CompTIA Network+, Security+, MCSA, CCNA.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network and security administration. Advanced technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and router commands. Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting network hardware, protocols, and standards, including switches, routers, cabling, and telecom/phone systems. Proven experience with network analyzers, scanners, and testing equipment. Proven hardware and security troubleshooting experience. Strong understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. Extensive knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
