Job summary

Union Pacific is seeking a year‑round Network Planning & Operations intern at its Omaha headquarters. The role focuses on data analytics, performance metrics, and project support across Operating, Tech, Marketing & Sales, Finance, and leadership.

You will build self‑service dashboards, perform ad‑hoc analyses, and collaborate with partners to drive decisions. Internship offers flexible, hybrid scheduling and on-site work with potential home‑based options.

Qualifications

• College credits equivalent to one year or more toward an undergraduate degree.
• Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate organization, prioritization and time/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform core business processes and systems used in Network Planning & Operations.
• Assist in creating self‑service dashboards, visualizations, and performance metrics.
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses and support decision‑making through data‑driven insights.
• Provide operational support to department business group managers.
• Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company.
• Assist with project management for various company initiatives and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
