Meta is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to join our Edge and Network Services (ENS) Foundation NetOps team. You will apply expertise in hyperscale data center cabling, fiber connectivity, and IP networking to support field repair services and operational reliability across our global fleet.

Collaboration with internal teams and vendors will be essential as you drive incident response, change management, and automation initiatives to scale the network.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years operating, deploying, and designing large-scale network, optical, and/or physical layer infrastructure.
• 4+ years of network operations experience supporting large-scale data center or enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with optical/network equipment and related test gear.
• Strong communication with vendors and service providers.
• Experience troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional projects.
• Ability to guide external vendors and translate issues into technical requirements.
• Working knowledge of network services, topology, and architectures.
• Familiarity with Cisco/Juniper/Nexus hardware platforms and WDM equipment.
• Ability to drive programs from inception to delivery with measurable impact.

• Lead incident response efforts across edge, caching, and network infrastructure with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Drive change management to address security and business continuity issues and scale tools and processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with internal customers to address needs and influence data center and network designs.
• Provide technical leadership and coordinate roadmaps across teams for global sites.
• Design and implement processes to mitigate data and asset protection risks and ensure continuity.
• Ensure proper documentation and data integrity across operations systems.
• Identify automation opportunities to remediate Tier-1 faults via software and lightweight tooling.
• Develop metrics to monitor escalation issues, faults, capacity, and vendor performance.
• Communicate goals, progress, and lessons learned across the organization.
• Travel up to 25% may be required.
