Job summary

Total Force Alliance, LLC is seeking a Journeyman NetOps Engineer to provide day-to-day routing and switching support across LAN/WAN/CAN environments. You will troubleshoot routing protocols, support SATCOM/VDI, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies while documenting activities in ticketing systems.

The role requires CCNA and DoD 8140 IAT II credentials, a HS diploma with 5+ years of experience, and a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day routing and switching support with Cisco gear.
• Troubleshoot routing protocols and LAN/WAN/CAN performance.
• Cross-train and support SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
• Adhere to DoD and cybersecurity policies and best practices.
• Use ticketing systems to document outages and changes.
• Provide technical problem resolution for network infrastructure.

Job description

Journeyman NetOps Engineer

Responsibilities include:

• Providing day to day operational routing and switching support with hands on experience with Cisco Routers and Switches, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, RIP, etc.)
• Troubleshoot routing protocols and end-to-end network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) through a Wide Area Network (WAN), to a Campus Area Network (CAN).
• Willingness to cross train and support multiple technologies in an operational environment including SATCOM, Voice, VDI/Virtualization.
• Support the system adherence to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
• Utilize ticketing systems for detailed documentation of outages and network change activities.
• Provide technical problem resolution for a wide range of network infrastructure problems or anomalies.
• This position requires flexibility to support 24x7 Network Operations including 12 hour shifts as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ce, CCNA Security, CySA+, etc.)
• CCNA
• Education: HS Diploma and 5+ years of experience
• Clearance: Secret

Target Salary Range

$60,000 - $85,000
