Job summary

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find Network Operations Engineers to monitor critical networks, cloud infra, databases, and authentication systems for live autonomous vehicle operations.

You will monitor infrastructure, triage alerts, respond to incidents, and escalate as needed, collaborating with SRE to improve reliability in a 24/7 on-site role in Scottsdale, AZ.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a NOC, TechOps, or similar operations environment.
• Strong understanding of incident management lifecycles, escalation procedures, and SLAs.
• Experience monitoring enterprise networks, cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), and critical databases.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and authentication services.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, Kentik, LogicMonitor.
• Excellent communication skills for high-pressure incidents.
• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Scottsdale, AZ with weekend/holiday coverage.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor IT services, networks, and infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
• Acknowledge, investigate, and triage system alerts as primary incident responder.
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in escalation calls for investigation and resolution.
• Follow procedures and route complex issues to engineering teams.
• Partner with SRE and engineering to identify recurring issues and improve reliability.
• Contribute to incident retrospectives and implement improvements to reduce outages.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and escalation details.
• Prepare shift handoffs and service status reports to ensure continuity.

Expected compensation: 54.34 USD Per Hour

HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find Network Operations Engineers to monitor and support the critical networks, cloud infrastructure, databases, and authentication systems that keep live autonomous vehicle operations running reliably.

In this role, you'll monitor critical infrastructure, triage alerts, respond to incidents, and escalate complex issues to specialized engineering teams. You'll also partner closely with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to identify recurring issues and turn operational insights into long-term reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate has experience working in a NOC, TechOps, or similar mission-critical operations environment and is comfortable troubleshooting infrastructure issues in real time. You are highly responsive, technically curious, and able to communicate clearly and remain composed during high-pressure incidents.

As a Network Operations Engineer, You\'ll

• Proactively monitor critical IT services, networks, and infrastructure supporting live autonomous vehicle operations in a 24/7 environment.
• Monitor the real-time health of cloud infrastructure, databases, DNS, authentication services, and other systems required for continuous operations.
• Acknowledge, investigate, and triage system alerts, serving as a primary responder for incidents affecting live services.
• Troubleshoot incidents and participate in escalation calls to support investigation, resolution, and root cause identification.
• Follow established operational procedures and escalation paths to route complex issues to the appropriate engineering teams.
• Partner with SRE and engineering teams to identify recurring issues and improve system reliability.
• Participate in incident retrospectives and recommend improvements that reduce outages and strengthen operational processes.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and escalation details accurately.
• Prepare clear shift handoffs and service status reports to maintain continuity across 24/7 operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a NOC, SOC, TechOps, or similar structured operations environment
• Strong understanding of incident management lifecycles, escalation procedures, and SLAs
• Experience monitoring enterprise networks, cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform, and critical databases
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, authentication services, Entra ID, OAuth, SSL/TLS, and general networking concepts
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Datadog, Kentik, LogicMonitor, or similar tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate critical technical issues during high-pressure situations
• Willingness and ability to work 100% onsite in Scottsdale, AZ, on an assigned shift that includes at least one weekend day each week and scheduled holiday coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with incident management and ticketing platforms such as incident.io, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, ServiceNow, or Jira
• Experience using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages for operational tasks
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar incident and service management frameworks
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or a similar networking certification, such as Juniper JNCIA
