Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to lead the operations and maintenance of a Zero Trust deployment for the DoD. You will interface with SASE, SD-WAN, application security, and cyber operations technologies, coordinating with SMEs, vendors, and Booz Allen colleagues to monitor and resolve incidents.

You will apply advanced advising skills to brief senior leadership and provide awareness of current and resolved incidents, while ensuring secure, resilient network

Qualifications

  • Experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS).
  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment.
  • Experience with network management and monitoring and with classified networks.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and security concepts.

Network Operations Engineer

You Have


  • Experience with routing and switching protocols, including BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, or L3VPNs

  • Experience with Tier II or III network troubleshooting

  • Experience deploying, upgrading, and troubleshooting multivendor network equipment and solutions, including Cisco or Juniper

  • Experience with classified networks

  • Experience with network management and monitoring

  • Experience implementing and managing multi-vendor firewalls, including Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper, or Versa Networks

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles

  • Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED


Nice If You Have


  • Experience with AWS or Azure Cloud networking

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCP Certification


Clearance

Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.


Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
