Network Operations Center (NOC) Trainer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain training materials and lesson plans, including presentations, hands‑on exercises, and documentation for NOC procedures and best practices.
• Conduct classroom and on‑the‑job training sessions for new and existing NOC staff.
• Assess training needs and design curriculum to address skill gaps.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest processes, network technologies, tools, and industry trends to ensure training content remains relevant.
• Collaborate with NOC managers and team leads to identify areas for improvement in staff performance.
• Create and administer tests to evaluate trainees’ comprehension and skill levels.
• Provide ongoing mentorship and support to NOC staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of NOC standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering technical training programs.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in an easy‑to‑understand manner.
• Experience with remote training tools and virtual classrooms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Desired

• Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management best practices.
• Certifications in training or instructional design (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)).

Pay Range

$86,600 - $181,800
