Job Summary

This position requires on-site work in Bothell, WA. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

The Network Lab Engineer will design, set up, maintain, and troubleshoot network configurations in a lab environment, testing new network technologies and ensuring performance before deployment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for Ziply’s network lab.
• Create and configure network topologies to test new technologies.
• Automate network provisioning tasks with systems engineering.
• Plan and prepare installation specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate with network partners and ensure documentation is up to date.
• Maintain inventory and participate in planning meetings.
• Support network engineering, deployment, and operational needs.
• Perform vendor RMA testing and manage return shipments.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Knowledge of telecommunications design and practices.
• Experience with network elements like routers, switches, PON, TDM, VOIP, DWDM.
• Experience with BGP/OSPF, MPLS LDP/TE.
• Proficient in technical documentation and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and team skills.

Work Authorization

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical activities as needed. Visual and physical stamina required.

Work Environment

Office setting with extensive computer use. No outside employment conflicts allowed without approval.
