Rohde & Schwarz USA’s critical infrastructure business unit is expanding and seeking talent with networking and software system integration experience. This opening is for a Network/IT Test Engineer position to support our Air Traffic Control (ATC) programs. Strong candidates will have experience with IP-based voice communication systems, be goal oriented, and customer focused. Candidates can be based anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic area as the position requires bi-monthly, on-site work at a customer facility in Atlantic City, NJ as well as monthly travel to our facilities in Columbia and Frederick, MD.

Your tasks

• Linux System Administration Manage installation, configuration, updates, and troubleshooting of Linux servers and workstations.
• Network Management Design and maintain network infrastructure, optimize performance, and ensure security.
• PBX Administration Install and manage PBX systems, handle routing, and troubleshoot voice communication issues.
• Technical Support Provide prompt IT support, document issues, and conduct training/support sessions on site.
• IT Consultant, installer, + support Assess IT needs, recommend solutions for VoIP Voice Communication System Installation and Configuration Set up hardware and software, ensuring integration with existing systems.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• Linux/Networking /PBX administrator experience
• Systems test experience with good understanding of execution of test programs.
• Configuring and analyzing VoIP networks, computing infrastructure, software deployments.
• Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Linux (Oracle), VM’s.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Proactive, analytical, detail-oriented and self-managed.
• Comfortable working in a team and without formal direction.
• Ability to travel for installs and acceptance testing throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 50%.
• US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance.

The total compensation for this position is $74K-$168K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
