Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a telecom test/installation engineer for a 12+ month contract in New Berlin, WI. You will install, monitor, and test telecommunications and transport equipment according to specifications and procedures.

The role includes performing diagnostics on Physical and Logical Layer platforms and coordinating migrations to new or existing carriers on various routers. Responsibilities include mapping and testing transmission equipment (FlashWave, Nortel Classic, Digital Cross

Qualifications

• Installs, monitors, and tests telecommunications and transport equipment per specifications and procedures.
• Performs testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment including Physical Layer and Logical Layer platforms.
• Migrate to new/existing Carriers (PVC/EVCs) on various routers; uses remote test systems to isolate and resolve continuity problems.

Responsibilities

• Carries out testing/diagnostics on equipment per published standards (Physical/Logical Layer).
• Maps, grows, and tests transmission equipment (FlashWave, Nortel Classic, Digital Cross Connect).
• Maps routers, bridges, multiplexers, concentrators, etc.

• Performs testing and diagnostic procedures on equipment according to published equipment standards to include Physical Layer and Logical Layer platforms

• Coordinates the test and turn up of service with all involved providers until the customers service is up and working
