Job summary

GoNetspeed is seeking an ISP Engineer to drive design, planning and upgrades across transport and central office networks. This role focuses on complex augments, capacity planning, and maintaining high availability with cross-functional collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring a technical degree and at least five years of relevant experience, plus hands-on expertise with DC power, fiber, and DWDM systems. Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel is required.

Qualifications

• Education: 2- or 4-year technical degree preferred, high school diploma required.
• Experience: Minimum of five years of relevant technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, and coordinates complex network augments and rearrangements to the existing network.
• Maintains spares inventory, network redundancy and capacity in transport and access network systems.
• Provides technical assistance to other teams for major systems improvements.
• Mentors coworkers in new technology.
• Manages network availability and capacity planning.
• Handles customer issues and meets expectations to ensure satisfaction.
• Creates engineering work packages with scope, materials, and installation details.
• Participates in on-call rotation and may work off-hours.
