Job summary

St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller is seeking a Systems Administrator to design, implement, and manage enterprise server and infrastructure systems supporting court operations.

The role focuses on availability, performance, security, and documentation of the technology environment. Responsibilities include Windows Server and AD administration, virtualization, storage, backup, and DR, with emphasis on security controls, incident response, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Seven years of progressively responsible systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or related experience preferred; may substitute for education.
• Industry certifications in Microsoft, cloud, virtualization, cybersecurity desirable; maintain knowledge.
• Florida Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, administer, maintain, and optimize physical and virtual servers and related infrastructure.
• Administer Windows Server and Active Directory services including DNS, DHCP, replication, and group policies.
• Support enterprise virtualization platforms and VM environments, including provisioning and monitoring.
• Administer enterprise storage, backup, replication, and recovery technologies, including cloud-based solutions.
• Monitor availability, performance, security events, and system health; take corrective action as needed.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for server, OS, virtualization, storage, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Support cybersecurity controls, vulnerability remediation, logging, patch management, and incident response.
• Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Plan and perform OS, application, firmware, and infrastructure upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Coordinate with vendors to troubleshoot issues and support contracted services.
• Maintain up-to-date system documentation, diagrams, inventories, and procedures.
