Job summary

ECI is seeking a senior network engineer for a hybrid role in the United States. You will design and manage LAN/WAN, implement wireless infrastructure, and lead complex Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet environments for global clients.

Ideal candidates have CCNP, 5+ years in product-related roles, and strong cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure). You will mentor staff, drive best practices, and contribute to PoC initiatives while working US hours with some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or experience.
• 5+ years in roles with exposure to product organizations.
• CCNP certification.
• Advanced routing and switching knowledge; expert in Cisco Nexus switching, BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with public cloud technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Expertise with Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls; GlobalProtect design and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN and wireless infrastructure.
• Provide customer support to clients globally.
• Troubleshoot complex issues for Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet environments.
• Coordinate with teams and external parties to resolve cases.
• Act as escalation point for critical network incidents and drive resolution.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior team members.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and PoC opportunities.
• Engage with clients to design tailored networking solutions.
• Create and maintain network documentation and policies.

This is a hybrid role being onsite a minimum of 3 days per week. The core hours will be U.S. working hours but may also require work outside of core hours as needed for projects and client support.

What you will do:

• Design, implement, and maintain the client’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network infrastructure.
• Provide customer support to clients located across the globe.
• Troubleshoot/resolve complex issues and handle service requests for clients related to Cisco routing and switching infrastructure, Cisco Meraki and legacy wireless infrastructure, Palo Alto technologies, Cisco, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Collaborate with relevant teams, departments, or external parties to resolve cases that require specialized knowledge or resources.
• Serve as the ultimate escalation point for critical network incidents and outages. Lead the response effort, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and drive resolution to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the network services team. Mentor junior team members, share knowledge, and promote best practices for network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, products, and solutions relevant to the organization's strategic objectives. Identify PoC opportunities that align with business needs and technical requirements.
• Engage proactively with clients to comprehend their unique network requisites and collaboratively engineer tailored solutions that align with their goals.
• Create and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and policies/procedures.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of relevant work experience with exposure in product organizations
• CCNP
• Advance routing and switching knowledge. Expert in Cisco Nexus switching, BGP and OSPF protocols.
• Ability to design enterprise networks.
• Knowledge and experience in public cloud technologies - AWS/GCP/Azure
• Expert in Palo Alto firewalls. Global Protect design and implementation with certificates, VPNs, Failover, SSL decryption, content filtering etc.
• FortiGate and Cisco FTD experience
• Experience with Cisco traditional and SDWAN routers, catalyst, and Nexus switches
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building and managing expectations.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, in a fast-paced team environment.
• Sharp attention to detail with proven analytical and critical thinking skills
• Effective time management and excellent prioritization skills

Bonus points if you have:

• CCIE a plus
• Experience with Sonicwall N/W devices
• Financial Services Industry experience
