Job summary

Peak Performers is seeking an onsite Network Field Technician in Austin, Texas to support installation and replacement of network gear at remote sites, including Meraki, AT&T AIA-B, and Starlink hardware.

You will stage, configure, ship, receive, and track equipment; coordinate with remote-site staff, vendors, and internal teams; verify site readiness; provide on-site and remote troubleshooting; and maintain project documentation. Travel up to 5% as needed.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing network hardware.
• 4 years of experience maintaining, upgrading, and replacing hardware and software systems.
• 4 years of experience operating, monitoring, installing, troubleshooting, relocating, and maintaining network equipment.
• 4 years of experience identifying and resolving basic networking problems.
• 4 years of experience installing, maintaining, relocating, testing, and upgrading network hardware and software.
• 4 years of experience collaborating with network and infrastructure teams on root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• 4 years of experience maintaining documentation, standards, and monitoring best practices.
• 4 years of strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support network equipment replacement and installation projects at remote sites, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless equipment, Meraki, AT&T AIA-B, and Starlink hardware.
• Stage, label, configure, ship, receive, and track network equipment and installation materials.
• Coordinate installation activities with remote-site personnel, vendors, contractors, and internal network teams.
• Verify site readiness, including power, cabling, rack space, grounding, and other installation requirements.
• Provide remote and onsite support for equipment installation, testing, health checks, connectivity verification, and basic troubleshooting.
• Support network outages and service restoration and elate complex issues to appropriate technical teams.
• Coordinate Starlink installations, including scheduling, site readiness, equipment delivery, installation, connectivity verification, and issue resolution.
• Maintain equipment inventories, network documentation, site records, and project status updates.
• Schedule coordination meetings, track action items, and communicate installation requirements, schedules, and changes.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, verify completed work, and resolve outstanding issues.
• Travel to remote locations as needed to support installation, replacement, testing, and troubleshooting activities, generally not exceeding 5% of the position’s time.

Peak Performers has partnered with a Texas State Agency to assist in their search for an onsite Network Field Technician in Austin, Tx . In this position, you will be responsible for supporting projects involving the replacement and installation of network equipment at remote sites, including Meraki MX, AT&T AIA-B, and Starlink hardware.
