Job summary

Med-National Staffing Inc. seeks an experienced Network Field Engineer to support LAN and WAN connectivity across multiple local sites in Clinton Township, MI, with regular travel between client locations.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
  • Experience with port activations, switch configuration, and firmware updates.
  • Ability to independently analyze network issues and implement effective solutions.
  • CCNA certification or active progress toward obtaining it.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network performance, identify issues, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Plan and implement Cisco-based network solutions of intermediate to advanced complexity.
  • Recommend and assist with complex network upgrades and infrastructure improvements.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams, technical partners, and end users to resolve performance issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of networking and security best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation using Microsoft Visio and related tools.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Mentor team members and share technical knowledge as needed.

NETWORK FIELD ENGINEER Cisco Networking | LAN/WAN Support | Network Troubleshooting

Location: Clinton Township, Michigan, with travel between local sites

Work Arrangement: Field-Based

Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

Contract Length: Approximately 26 weeks

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Anticipated Start Date: September 21, 2026

Anticipated Contract End Date: March 15, 2027

Pay Rate: $53.92 per hour

Travel: Regular local travel between client locations

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Field Engineer to support LAN and WAN connectivity, network infrastructure, and application performance across multiple locations. This is a hands‑on field engineering position that requires travel from site to site to troubleshoot incidents, complete service requests, install and configure network equipment, activate ports, update firmware, and support network‑related projects. The ideal candidate has strong Cisco experience, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and reliable transportation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, networking, or a related discipline.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience working with Avaya systems.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Experience creating network documentation using Microsoft Visio.
  • Previous experience mentoring technical team members.
