Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking a senior Network Engineering leader to own multiple projects, oversee capacity reporting, and drive evaluation of emerging technologies. You will coordinate daily tasks, prepare management reports, and help design optical and IP-based networks across large-scale carrier environments.

Proven hands-on experience with MPLS, BGP, OSPF/IS-IS, and vendor platforms is required, along with strong data analysis and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in engineering/CS/IT/telecom.
• Familiarity with optical transport systems (ROADM, DWDM) is a plus.
• Experience with carrier automation, telemetry, or configuration management tools (Python, Ansible, NETCONF, YANG, gNMI, etc.).
• Industry certifications (JNCIP/JNCIE, CCNP/CCIE SP, Nokia NRS, Ciena) are desirable.
• Experience supporting network modernization, IP/optical convergence, segment routing, EVPN, DCI or large-scale backbone projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage all Network Engineering projects.
• Produce weekly network capacity reports and analytics.
• Evaluate new technologies and present recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate daily tasks and reports with engineering staff.
• Develop budgets and cost-benefit analyses for network projects.
• Assist in optical network designs and change management procedures.
