Job summary

ENCS in Sparks, Nevada is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer for the Network Project to design, implement, and maintain WAN/LAN infrastructures, enterprise wireless, cloud networks, and security systems. You will troubleshoot complex issues and ensure seamless operations for critical infrastructure.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco ACI, Palo Alto and other next-gen firewalls, and tools like SolarWinds and Infoblox. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in network design and administration with a focus on WAN/LAN infrastructures.
• Experience in cloud network management (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting advanced network issues.
• Experience with network management tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco DNA, and Infoblox.
• Strong knowledge of network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Familiarity with next-generation firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and provide WAN/LAN network administration, enterprise wireless, cloud administration (Azure), Cisco ACI, and firewall administration.
• Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues, providing solutions to customers.
• Initiate improvements in tools and processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Investigate causes of network issues, test solutions, and implement corrective measures.
• Make recommendations based on analytics to improve network performance.
• Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
• Understand network support priorities and objectives and contribute accordingly.
• Maintain a strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
• Demonstrate experience with WAN and backbone network protocols.
• Experience with cloud networks and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is desirable.
• Communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely.
• Work independently with resourcefulness.
