Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a Network Engineer to design, validate, and support production-ready network platforms for manufacturing and client deployments.

You will configure switches, run firmware upgrades, perform BER/PRBS tests, and develop test plans. Collaboration with SWE, TE, manufacturing, and vendors is essential.

The role requires 4+ years of networking experience, strong Linux skills, and a BS degree in EE/CE/CS or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Network/Infrastructure Engineering or IT Support.
• Strong TCP/IP, Layer 2/3, VLANs, STP, LACP, and routing protocols.
• Hands-on with configuring and troubleshooting network switches.
• Strong Linux knowledge and CLI troubleshooting.
• Experience using SSH and remote access tooling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• BS degree in EE/CE/CS or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Configure, validate, and troubleshoot network switches.
• Support switch bring-up, firmware upgrades, and network qualification.
• Perform network validation including port mapping, connectivity, BER/PRBS, insertion loss, and traffic testing.
• Troubleshoot networking, hardware, firmware, optics, transceivers, and cabling issues.
• Develop and support network test plans, validation procedures, and automation requirements.
• Work closely with Software Engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, vendors, and customers to resolve issues and support production builds.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive issue resolution.
