Job summary
NorthernBio is seeking a Network Engineer in Muskegon to design, implement, and maintain our LAN/WAN infrastructure across Olthoff, Pontaluna, and Portage sites, ensuring secure connectivity and compliance with GxP/GLP standards.
You will work with Cisco Meraki gear, Palo Alto firewalls, and industry tools to optimize performance, plan capacity, and support cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 years of experience as a network administrator or similar role.
- Experience in regulated environments (GxP/GLP) is preferred.
- Proficiency with Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols such as OSPF/BGP.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, and related tooling.
- Strong monitoring/troubleshooting skills with Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Nagios.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and manage LAN/WAN across multiple sites.
- Implement and optimize TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity to maintain network security and compliance.
- Document configurations, changes, and audit trails for GxP/GLP readiness.
- Support vendor relationships and evaluate new network technologies.
