Job summary

WebstaurantStore is seeking an experienced IT Professional to serve as Network Engineer. The role involves design, monitoring, deployment and maintenance of the network infrastructure, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with other departments to deliver reliable services to customers and clients.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with firewalls, Cisco equipment, VPNs, and network optimization, and be able to document topology diagrams and procedures for enterprise

Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years of knowledge and experience with one or more of the following.
Experience with network devices and related systems.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot VPNs, WAN, and LAN infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Identify, test, and implement new technology for network environments.
Install and configure network devices and systems.
Perform firmware updates and network maintenance.
Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote access VPNs.
Create and update network topology diagrams and procedures.
Provide end-to-end network support for a large enterprise.
Mentor junior network engineers and collaborate with other teams.
Travel to facilities as needed for projects.

Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for an intelligent and driven IT Professional looking for a position to utilize their skills and advanced knowledge. The Network Engineer is responsible for design, monitoring, deployment, and maintenance of the network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will help mentor junior members of the team and work with other departments to provide reliable services to customers and clients.

Responsibilities

Identify, test, and implement new technology to be used in the network environment
Installation and configuration of network related devices and systems
Perform network maintenance duties as required (i.e. firmware and version upgrades, etc.)
Configure and troubleshoot both site to site and remote access VPNs
Install/connect cabling for network devices as needed
Create and update documentation including network topology diagrams and network procedures
Analyze network traffic for troubleshooting and performance improvements
Provide end to end network support for a large enterprise
Assist other teams with the analysis of application problems
Project planning on larger projects and higher tier support
Provide network design and analysis for new buildings as well as infrastructure updates
Estimate network needs and costs for current and future projects
Mentoring junior network engineers
Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.

Experience

Minimum three (3) years of knowledge and experience with one or more of the following:

Checkpoint Firewalls
Cisco Firewalls, Management Center and AnyConnect
Cisco and Dell Switches
Setting up wireless networks, including Extreme and Meraki APs
Routing protocols: BGP and OSPF
Spanning tree protocols: RSTP, PVST, MSTP, R-PVST
Syslog, TACACS, Radius, and SNMP
Troubleshooting foundational protocols such as DNS, DHCP, and ARP
Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations

Nice to Haves

Experience working in a distribution environment preferred
Exposure to enterprise cloud networking platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud is preferred.
