Lockheed Martin's NetOps Team is hiring a junior Network Engineer! This Enterprise Operations role supports unclassified network operations for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) and other Business Areas in Orlando FL.
In this role, you will support Lockheed Martin corporate-wide network infrastructure as well as acting as a Network Administrator providing operational, sustainment and remediation activities to meet customer regulations and compliance directives. You will ensure that LM networks and IT systems are managed, controlled, and updated in a manner consistent with policies and procedures. This will include supporting routine updates, major upgrades, and on‑going maintenance and support of the network infrastructure switches, and network.
As a team member of the IT NetOps team, you will apply established and innovative technologies to meet service and customer commitments. You will support break/fix incidents and Service Central project work within the MFC campus and surrounding facilities. You will adhere to all IT standards and process and procedures, and best practices of all IT managed and controlled network assets.
This role is fully onsite, including some off‑shift hours, weekends, and occasional travel based on business requirements. This role also supports a weekly on‑call rotation schedule. US Citizenship is required due to system access.
Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
Full‑Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00
