Job summary

NextIS Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. You will work with the IT team to ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient network that supports business growth.

The role requires hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and monitoring tools, plus the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. federal security clearance. Collaboration and documentation duties are essential to success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring/troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

About the Role:

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our company's network infrastructure. You will work closely with our IT team to ensure that our network is secure, reliable, and efficient. Your main goal will be to ensure that our network meets the needs of our business and supports our growth.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and SolarWinds
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Federal Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent certification
• Experience with cloud networking, such as AWS or Azure
• Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) technologies, such as Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto
