Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a Network Engineer in Illinois to lead site surveys and design structured networks supporting voice, data, security, and AV systems. You will produce drawings, specs, and reports, coordinating with IT, facilities, clients, and vendors to ensure accurate designs and compliant implementation for on-prem and cloud environments.

You should have hands-on experience with routing, switching, SD-WAN, and security protocols such as BGP and OSPF, plus a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience with network engineering.
• Experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments.
• Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols including BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with SD-WAN.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, and multitask.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Complete site surveys and create structured designs for customer networks.
• Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate with IT, facilities, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, material suppliers, and other resources to develop system designs and implementation plans.
• Manage the production of network devices and documentation for global network implementation.
• Implement final network solutions to support on-prem and cloud environments.
