Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Network Engineer in the United States (Fort Meade, MD) to design and implement complex network solutions for on-prem and cloud environments. You will conduct site surveys, produce engineering drawings and documentation, and coordinate with IT, facilities, and clients to ensure robust, scalable network architectures.

The role requires experience with network engineering, security protocols (BGP/OSPF), SD-WAN, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with network engineering.
• Experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments.
• Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with SD-WAN.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, and multitask and prioritize.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Maintain responsibility for completing site surveys and creating structured designs for the customer’s network in support of voice, data, security, and audio and visual systems.
• Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents.
• Work closely with IT and facilities teams, project teams, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and others to develop designs, estimates, and implementation plans.
• Coordinate the structured cabling design with other design disciplines and implement network solutions for on-prem and cloud environments.
• Develop all supporting documentation required for implementation in this global network.
• Manage the production of network devices and network architecture design.
